I'm not talking about being poor here besides that's a state, tho one can be poor in heart, I'm talking about been an introvert and wishing you are an extrovert, I'm talking about a dark person wanting to be fair, I'm talking about you being tall wanting to be short.
We do hear the saying "be content with WHAT you have", but that doesn't always apply, yes don't be covetous, but don't settle for less than what you would like to have.
We have different personalities because we have different purposes, you wanting or trying to be like someone is saying you want to fulfill someone else's destiny, and I'm sure you don't want carry someone else's load on your head and drag yours along(like a Yoruba adage says).
You can't ask your Creator "why did you make me like this?", you are the clay, He is the Potter, what you have to do is trust Him, and anyone who can't appreciate your being should move aside and watch you thrive being WHO you are.
Never try to live someone else's life, the best life you can live its YOURS.
