I was confronted with a situation sometime ago on my way home from school in the night(don't bother accusing me of my walking late😕), and a guy attacked me with a machete asking for my phone and headset

Fear was my reaction after all the confessing of my authority in Christ Jesus, I had a choice to exercise the authority or not, well, I didn't. The guy took my phone and headset and asked for my bag containing my laptop and other vital materials (what, are you kidding me, I thought you would be gone by now😬)

Just then, a picture of war room flashed through my mind(I believe it's the Holy Spirit who helped with that), what if he harms me with the machete?Well,.... there's only one way to find out, definitely not by confessing now ...

With tears I started screaming I stop you in the name of Jesus, holding onto to my bag...and the guy left on the bike with his accomplice...

I could have decided not to exercise my authority again, the guy would have taken my bag too and I would end up blaming God for what happened to me and it won't move Him a bit because He has given me the authority, it was I who didn't use it.
There are a lot of things that we pray about and God actually expects us to speak to the situation, to do something about it. I heard a saying that God gave us brains so He won't have to do all our thinking for us.
So next time you are confronted with a difficult situation, exercise your authority.
Christianity is my life and as for me I don't want to confine it to the pages on a book, its time to start living it. I am growing, not where I use to be, I'm okay and I'm on my way.
Mark 16:17-18; Ephesians 1:20-23; Luke 10:19
