THE RICHER WOMAN

Omilola Oshikoya
African's Premier Wealth Coach
A talk host
Convener of DO IT AFRAID CONFERENCE

This book is divided into 2 parts
In Part 1 , Omilola starts by talking about the moth and the butterfly. How the two insects have similar processes but emerge differently.
She likens the Moth to people who live life working in careers that they do not like, people who desire to be rich at the expense of their children, marriages, family, their health, and even eternity and the Butterfly to people who live full and content lives, who are purpose-driven.
Omilola tells us about her life’s journey, how she moved from wanting to be rich and successful to being a Richer Woman - a Proverbs 31 woman: a woman of purpose who doesn’t compromise on her family in pursuit of a career.
She shared her life’s journey: her background, the financial difficulty her family faced, how she was abused by their house help, her quest for love, how she met her now husband, how her career and insecurities affected her marriage, how she became emotionally involved with a married man and her journey to breaking free from it, how she struggled to quit her job despite how unhappy she was with her life, how she finally quit her job and volunteered in church which led her into Media.
She wrote about God experiences she had here and there and how He intervened in her marriage and life.

In Part 2
She tells us who a Richer Woman is and how our role as the Father’s daughter is prioritized over our role as a wife and then as a mother.

She mentioned that The Richer Woman’s wheel of life contains the following
  • Spirituality
  • Family
  • Work/Career/Achievement
  • Health and Well-being
  • Friendships/Relationships
Dream Team: mentor, confidant, buddy, coach, sponsor, Judas, Praying partner and mentee
  • Fun/Recreation/Rest
  • Money/Finances
  • Time Management

She mentioned that Fear of
  • Failure
  • Trading security for the unknown
“A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for - John A Shedd”
  • What others would say or think
  • Not being able to cope financially
has hindered people from making decisions that would make then the Richer Woman.
She encourages us to FACE OUR FEARS AND DO IT AFRAID.

A Richer Woman is like an eagle and as one you should:
  1. Have a vision
  2. Change our (limiting) Belief System
  3. Believe in yourself and believe in your dreams
  4. Do it now
  5. Take the first step without knowing what lies ahead
“Sometimes you will be required to jump into the unknown without a plan, and sometimes you will be required to plan ahead”
  1. Build a dream team
  2. Stay Motivated
  3. Stay grateful
  4. Trust your process
