Kingdom principles CLH book challenge

People ask me why do I read?, here are few reasons

  • To avoid mistakes others have made
  • To acquire in a week perhaps month, knowledge someone took years to acquire
  • Reading is a good habit i used to replace a bad habit
  • It is a good use of my time, it has future dividend
  • Reading takes me out of my immediate world to a world where i can be whatever i want to be and it is happening in reality all i am imagining
  • Reading helps me meditate
Choosing the right book to read is very important, there was a point in my life when i wanted to read but i didn't know what to read. What helped me was i got to met some people who helped me, the first book i read was The Spirit of leadership by Myles Munroe, so you could meet with people who are already walking the path of knowledge.

So my book for this week is Kingdom Principles by Myles Munroe
The whole idea of the book is that Christ came to establish a Kingdom not a religion.
He established his point by stating Jesus' teaching, Jesus never for once mentioned religion.

But  seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things  shall be added to you  (Matthew  6:33 NKJV)

Religion has done more harm than good,
Religion preoccupies  man until he finds the Kingdom
Religion is  what man does  until he finds the Kingdom.
Religion prepares man to  leave earth; the Kingdom empowers man to  dominate earth.
Religion focuses on Heaven; the Kingdom focuses on earth.
Religion is  reaching up to  God; the Kingdom is  God coming down to  man. Religion wants to  escape  earth; the Kingdom impacts,  influences  and changes earth.
Religion seeks to  take earth to  Heaven; the Kingdom seeks to bring Heaven to  earth.

I agree with his school of thought because Christ didn't come to make us 'Christians' but to make us Christ. We are co heirs with Christ(Romans 8:17) and the word heirs is used in relation with a kingdom not a religion
